Our YMCA facility is one of the 10 largest in the nation, with two indoor pools, four Gyms, five indoor tennis courts, the largest suspended running track in the United State, and much more. Our public and private schools pride themselves in their leadership, teachers, and innovative improvements continually being implemented. The Fremont State Recreation Area includes twenty lakes on 666 acres. You'll find many excellent spots to camp, fish, picnic, and enjoy water-skiing, boating and other water-sports. A scenic biking/hiking trail reaching across the city (and to the State Lakes!) is now in the works. Fremont Area Medical Center is a 262-bed hospital located in Fremont, and is
